Dr. Heather I. Major, founder of Chesapeake Therapeutic Wellness, is a licensed psychologist. She uses integrated, evidenced-based methods, applying mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapies to help clients explore their lifestyle, relationships, career, life events, values, and goals so that the process of personal growth and wellness can begin and be fostered in a safe, calming environment. Dr. Major has special interests in working with mothers, mothers-to-be, and college students who are struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and/or stress.
